Social Media & Digital Storytelling
Who We Are:
At Homegrown4Heroes (HG4H), we’re more than just a nonprofit—we’re a movement dedicated to providing veterans with safe access to clean cannabis and building a supportive community around healing and advocacy. We believe in the power of storytelling to create change, and that’s where you come in.

The Role:
We’re looking for a Social Media & Digital Storytelling Intern to help bring our mission to life online. If you’re passionate about social media, content creation, and amplifying real stories, this is your chance to make an impact. You’ll help create engaging content, run digital campaigns, connect with our community, and help tell the stories of the veterans and growers who make this mission possible.
This role is ideal for students, recent grads, or anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit digital marketing, social media management, and advocacy.

What You’ll Do:
-
Create and manage content for Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, and LinkedIn
-
Develop digital campaign strategies to engage our community and spread awareness
-
Design graphics and short-form videos using Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator) and Canva
-
Track engagement metrics and tweak strategies to increase impact
-
Help manage email marketing and community outreach
-
Use Monday.com to keep projects on track
-
Engage with our amazing community—including veterans, growers, and cannabis advocates

What We’re Looking For:
-
Passion for veterans’ rights, cannabis advocacy, and making a real difference
-
Strong storytelling and writing skills—you can turn a moment into a meaningful post
-
Creative eye for design and a good sense of humor (we love memes, too!)
-
Experience (or strong interest) in social media marketing, advocacy, or digital campaigns
-
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
-
Experience with Monday.com and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
-
Flexibility—sometimes the best content happens after hours or on weekends

What You’ll Get:
-
Real-world experience in digital marketing & social media management
-
A chance to make a tangible impact in veterans’ lives
-
The opportunity to work with a passionate, grassroots team
-
Priority consideration for staff roles & future paid opportunities
-
Remote flexibility—work from anywhere with Wi-Fi!

The Details:
-
Remote position—must have a computer and reliable internet
-
Unpaid internship, but can be used for course credit (if applicable)
